Redeemer started as a Bible study with several young families in Airdrie who felt strongly that our community needs a Christ-centered, gospel-preaching, faithful Presbyterian church.
In a nutshell, we trust and love Jesus. We are committed to connecting people to him and keeping them connected. We are committed to worshipping and serving him together as a church family. We are committed to encouraging and helping each other to seek his glory in every area of our lives.
We stand in the line of the historic Christian faith: from the apostles to the early church fathers, through the medieval era, through the Protestant Reformation, up to today. We are a member congregation of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church (OPC), a solid conservative denomination that is devoted to worshipping God with reverence and awe in Spirit and in Truth. You can learn more about the OPC from the pamphlet “Christ Proclaims a Better Way”, which is available as a free download (high resolution for printing, medium resolution for reading on electronic devices) in PDF available or can be purchased here. We count it a blessing to be part of the Presbytery of the Northwest which includes the states of Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and Alaska in the U.S.A. and is committed to help plant churches in western Canada.
